Irises
Ignored till last year
Bloom beautifully

There is a haiku I often utter when flowers start blooming. The haiku is by Ikuko Sannomiya who writes Koshin–ryu-dan. the haiku goes something like, a discarded bulb blooms by its own strength. Japanese words may not be all correct, since this was posted in NacosNagaya quite a long time ago. Irises, planted under the lilac tree and were almost forgotten, bloom beautifully this year. Here, I’d like to express my respects to Sannomiya-san.
