that is Bon dance

At the end of August was the Okinawan Festival in Kapiolani Park. Many people went to see and participate in the Bon dance. Some people even dressed in traditional costumes that were very colorful. The dance was very simple and repetitive. People would wave their arms high, then low, maybe clap, and then spin around before moving forward in a circle.

いろどりで　て を あげ さげて　ぼんおどり

８月下旬に、沖縄祭がカピオラに公園で行われました。大勢の人達が見に行って盆踊りに参加しました。何人かの人達は伝統的な衣装を着ていました。衣装は、たいへん色鮮やかでした。踊りは、非常に簡単で反復的なものでした。波のように腕を上げたり下げたり、ポンと手を打ったり、くるりと回ったあとに、踊りの輪が前に進みました。
