In Australia we are blessed with a health care system that is not only world class but is also free and available to everybody who needs it. We also have the option of paying for public health insurance but there really is no reason, I believe because the public health system is so complete.

Australia’s hospitals are very well equipped and when I went in for surgery about 5 years ago I stayed for about one week and on release I was presented a bill for a 7 day stay, complete care and medications of a total of $35! That was terrific.

I really love America but unfortunately the health system does not compare. Most people buy public health insurance it seems.
