うっとうしい梅雨に台風三号が連れだって、これは大へんだと雨戸をしめ、シャッターをしめて、身構えたところ、朝おきてみてびっくり。車庫に水ひとつ入ってなくて、台風は熱低になって、先ずは一安心。

The third typhoon of the rainy season was on its way, and it looked to be fierce. I closed all the doors and shutters and put myself on guard. When I woke up, however, I was very surprised to see that not a single drop of water had gotten into the garage. The typhoon had downgraded to a tropical storm, which was a welcome bit of relief in the middle of this gloomy time of year.
