Haiku Poem



潮を吹く鯨は海を蹴って跳ぶ

しお を ふく くじら は うみ を けって とぶ


White spray beckons
gray shape rises protrudes falls
sinks below surface.



If you go whale watching in Hawaii, you always look for the telltale spray of water above the surface to identify where the whales are. When you find whales, if you are lucky, you will see the gray bodies of the whales rise above the water before disappearing below the surface.

ハワイで、ホエールウォッチングに行くと、海面にいる鯨が潮を吹くのを、見つけることが出来ます。
運よく、鯨を見つけたら、海中に消える前に、灰色の鯨の体が浮かぶのが見えます。
