Around 3:00 this afternoon the wind turned South East. Coming from the Island of Hawaii, this wind is called “Kona Wind”. The ash from the Mauna Kea volcano is mixed with the clouds and forms what is called “vog”. Those with Asthma are unfortunately very badly affected. Tonight, the winds are supposed to turn to a westerly direction. If this happens the ocean conditions on the southern side will result in big waves and strong currents. Small craft advisories will be posted and regular boats will not be able to leave the harbor. Today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow will be humid because of the winds. I may be completely wrong. If so, I am sorry!

　　午後3時ごろから風が南西になりました。これはハワイ島から吹いて来るコナウィンドです。マウナケア火山灰と雲が一緒になった雲の状態をヴォグと言います。喘息の方は困っています。もし今晩、南西になりましたら、オアフ島の南の海の状態は波が大きくなって、流れが強くなります。普通のボートは、ほとんど港から海に出られません。明日の朝から西風になるそうです。今日と明日と明後日は蒸し暑いと思います。当たらなかったら、ごめんなさい！
