我が成程という五句

次の五句の内容は、前の長いエッセイと同じです。
しかし、俳句の型に従って、美しくなって、簡にして要を得ました。漢字のある元の稿を見るなら、下に参考してください。

The following five poems express the same ideas as the long essay from before. However, in the form of haiku, the ideas become more beautiful and more to the point. For the original version with kanji, refer to the bottom.


ほんやくを                            Through translating
へていただけり                       I have been granted
さとりだし                             nascent wisdom.

しをよむに                            Crafting poetry
かくよりなびけ                       not writing, but obeying
ふでのいし                             the will of the pen.

しんのすむ                            The realm of words
ことばのくにへ                       where our minds reside
たびじこう                             we venture forth.

かたにいり                            Within a form
ゆびふりかたも                       even a finger’s twitch
わざになり                             is artistry.

はなをおる                            Humbling us
ふるいきょしょうや                 you ancient masters
ときをかけ                             leap through time.
