This past Saturday my husband and I went to a beach party. It was more like a going-away beach party. Two of my coworkers are leaving Hawaii for good and heading back to the mainland. Our office decided to throw them both a beach potluck. The men spent most of their time drinking while the women feed themselves and their children. It was a beach party even though it was mostly the children doing the swimming. The children had a blast splashing around in the ocean. There are a couple of things I will remember for the next going-away we have at the beach, like bringing enough chairs for everyone to sit, but otherwise we all had a good time.
