Car Show

Last week I checked out the Auto show at the Hawaii Convention Center. I’m kind of tempted to buy a new car but being that I’m going to be getting married soon I don’t know if I should be spending any more money. I should be saving up for my future. The rise in gas prices is making me really consider getting a more gas efficient car. I’ve been looking at some of the hybrids, and I am kind of enamored with the Prius. On the outside it’s not a really attractive car but on the inside it really has some great gadgets that gets my attention. Things such as the bluetooth phones, mp3 radio, and keyless ignition (just press a button). It also has a rear view camera when you put the car in reverse (not that I really need this function – but it’s cool to have). The car itself is so quiet you wouldn’t think the engine is even on. And most importantly it gets about 44 miles to the gallon!

At stop lights, those hybrids cut their engine and make no sound at all. It’s kinda eerie.

I know – I test drove one the other day, you wouldn’t even know if the car was running or not. It didn’t feel like a “car”. It lacked that feeling you get when you rev the engine.
