My Daily Life

Every morning, my mom wakes me up at 630 so we can get up and go to school. Must of the time, it takes me a few more minutes to really get up and going. i have no time to eat breakfast, so i get up and leave at about 645.

My mom must get to work early, so i arrive at school at 730. Classes dont begin until 830, so I like to use this time to eat breakfast and talk to my friends. I have about three one hour classes in the morning, math, social studies, and PE. Then, I usually have a short lunch break, and i eat a very big lunch because I want to get bigger. When I have longer breaks, I have time to play games with my friends or get some extra studying in. in the afternoon I usually only have 2 classes left, art and Japanese. Japanese is the most fun class, because our teacher is very cheerful and funny when she is teaching class. And its always fun to talk toyour friends in a new language.

Since there is no baseball till next month, my friend Sano and I like to go lift weights. I do this everyday now so I can become stronger, and becaus I want to make myself look good. after that I shower and my mom picks me up at about 530. She drives all the way from her orthodontist job in waikiki and travels all the way down to Punahou, and then back home. Everyday, I always ask her whats for dinner, since dinner is the mos important meal of the day. When we get back home, my mom has to cook, but the rice is already made for her so she doesnt have to do that. Once i get home, I sit down and watch baseball. It is a very relaxing time for me in my busy day. And when my siter comes home with my dad from swimming practice, i have to clean the table, and then we get to have dinner. Dinner is usually doneby 7, and after that we clean up and then I have to do homework until about 9. Then i can finally relax and watch the TV. Whenever my mom tells me its getting late, I shower and go to sleep, ready to do this all again the next day.

Your experiences brings back memories of my days when I played baseball for Kalani. Just some advice with the weight training, just be careful not to overtrain since you are still at that age where your body is still developing. Stretch plenty between sets. But yeah, the lifting is good because it does help to prevent future injury, by making your body stronger, and of course helps with your bat speed. Make sure to supplement your weight training with additional protein to help you keep your muscle. I think the formula is 1.5 x your body weight (the amount of grams of protein intake). But for your age maybe 1x might be sufficient. Of course there are also other body building supplements you can take too, but you still young yet, plus it can get kinda expensive after a while.

Thank you for the advice. My weight training is also for football, and i do alot of stuff like squat and bench pressing and dead lifts. I don’t bench press too much because I’m a pitcher, and I heard that too much muscle around the rotator cuff could slow down my ball. I use two supplements, and they arent too expensive, since I have a gold card to the GNC. Again, thanks for your advice.
