I really appreciate an expression in the comment by Nathan Jones posted on Allison’s blog “contagious.” Nathan wrote about “come here wave” that “……and I can’t even begin to describe how confused I was the first time someone in Japan did that to me….” I’ve been thinking what is the most appropriate Japanese expression for it, and I came up with the following.
