The HotShops Art Center was founded in 1999 by 4 artists who create artworks of metals, glass, tiles and clay. In other words, these artists work on fire, thus, the name of hot shops came about. The art center consists of many art studios and galleries and occupies several buildings of a former mattress company in downtown Omaha. Currently, over 70 artists have their own studios in the building. My husband who paints and sculptures is very happy that he has recently moved into one of studios. I help him to transfer art supplies from our storage into the studio.
