"Hang in there," was a phrase my childhood friend, Ai-chan, would suddenly say to me softly.

For her, it was most likely an offhand comment but, for me, it really touched my heart.

I am clumsy, and my personality is such that it takes me twice as long as other people to get things done at my own pace.

That is why, when I have to get a lot of things done, if my will is taken away, I am quick to give up.

At these times, I remember those words and thinking, "It’s time to hang in there," I feel encouraged and do my best. Words have a lot of power, huh?

I want to try to draw a picture of this phrase in my own way! I am now in the middle of grappling with how to express this phrase in a picture. When I am finished, please look at it, won’t you? Continue reading →

■2004/10/21 (木)

タイトルの病院へ就職を前提とした見学にいってきた。

場所はH急K都線K駅から徒歩１５分。

見学の感想は一言で言えば

「ソフト面はＯＫだが、ハード面がＮＧ」。

病院の施設がとても古く、かがみながら廊下を歩かなければならない

ほどの部分もあって、debleの身長にはかなりストレスのかかるところ。

よって就職には辛いかな、という結論に達する。

なかなか難しいぜ。。

昨日yahooニュースをみていると

「喫煙者率、初めて３割切る　９年連続、最低を更新」

の記事が！嫌煙者のdebleにとってこんなにうれしいことはないっ！

しかし、一番多い年代は30代の男性ということ。

これからはタバコは廃れるだけ！

一利はあれど百害あり！（deble的考え）

タバコの金を違う消費に移行すれば経済の活性化に！

さいきんの若者は就職活動を「就活」というらしい。

（ひょっとしたら昔からそういっていたのかもしれないけど）

その就活とやらを始めなくてはならないので、今日美容院で散髪し、

純白のカッターシャツを購入し、写真屋で証明写真を撮る。

総額8,000円超!!!!!!!!!!!金かかりすぎ。(–)

今日、卒研の報告のために卒研担当の先生、

コードネーム「Proffessor・Cotton」先生の研究室へ伺う。

おみやげに、と信州銘菓「そばまんじゅう」を買っていったのだが、

「私そばだめなんですよ」と、つうこんの一言が！

まさかそんなことはないだろうと思っていたのだが、その「まさか」が起こってしまった！

先生にはホント申し訳ないでありますm(_ _)m

■2004/10/17 (日)

最近、学生の間で「さちうす」ということばをよく耳にする。

もちろん「さちう酢」という酢の一種ではなく、漢字で書くと

「幸薄」

場合によっては「八甲田山」にかけて「薄幸田山」という人もいる。

確かにわからんでもないが、「薄幸田山」はとても飛躍しすぎて私の想像を超えている！

昔は同じ意味で「ツイてない」ということばを使っていた（もちろん今もdebleは使用）。

時代に取り残されるって、こういう感じなのかなあ？

ことばは常に進化しているのだっ！

I will send a picture.

I bought postcard-sized paper and printed out a birthday card for the first time. I made it while picturing the happy face of the recipient. The other day, I gave the card to her. She smiled at me. I was happy. It was the only one of its kind in the whole world.

イラスト送りマース。
