An offhand letter about everyday things

It is now 2:00 in the morning and I’ve finally finished my internship report. Now, I want to take a bath and go to sleep quickly so I am ready for tomorrow. My internship as a psychiatric nurse was busy, but I think it is the heart of nursing. My internship was very satisfying. Tomorrow is my last day, so the idea of parting with the patients makes me sad. I will do my best till the very end and not slack off! Good night.

Continue reading

An offhand letter about everyday things

The busy days continue during my internship as the psychiatric nurse

How are you all? I am interning as a psychiatric nurse. It is different from the internships I’ve had up till now. Communicating with the patients is difficult. However, I am doing my best at using my head and being more aware of what’s going on. When my internship period is over, I want to look back on everything about this psychiatric nursing internship and collect my thoughts. That’s all for now.

Continue reading

Something you can’t understand even if you study about it.

Today, I happened to drop by Professor T’s office. As always he said, “There is no future in radiology,” but I’m already used to that. While talking to him about various things, I heard something interesting. “Being unable to understand … Continue reading

While looking at pictures

Yesterday, while I was looking for something, an album caught my eye so I stopped searching and started looking at the album. It was 2:00 a.m. and, although it was deep in the night, my sleepiness vanished and I became wide awake. I have a lot of pictures from the time I just graduated from high school up to my current 4th year in college.

In the old pictures everyone, including myself, had childish faces. There are people who have changed their images completely, with their hairstyles and now stylish makeup, from those faces that were chubbier than they are now. As they grow older, women are constantly polishing themselves and becoming cute. I wonder if this is because they are in love. I deeply felt that each and every one of us has changed. And, quite frankly, the thought came to me that I, myself, am unexpectedly changing. Continue reading

When I Looked at Children

Lately, when I go out and I see small children, my face will almost certainly relax into a contented smile. It is happy and contented. When I see babies, in particular, my eyes are riveted to them. I do this so much that the mothers holding the infants look back at me suspiciously.

Babies are so cute. Why are they so darn cute? Their little hands and feet, their soft red cheeks… My maternal instincts are completely aroused. Ah, so cute…

If I get married someday, I want three children. (This is because I have two siblings myself) Even if I get tired of caring for the children every day, when they make their cute faces I will probably take lots of pictures of them with my camera. I hope this future will come to pass…

The backpack and the apple

Do you know what a rancel is?

A rancel is a backpack that Japanese elementary school students wear when they go to school. It is like having proof that you are in elementary school so, when someone has a rancel bought for them, they are very excited. Even I, for no reason, ran around the house with my bright red rancel.

Incidentally, there was an apple that lived on my rancel.

Sometime during my first year of elementary school, as I was going to school as always with my bright red rancel, a bully named Ai-chan said this to me. "Midori-chan, there’s something weird drawn on your rancel." "The usual teasing has begun. I can’t let it bother me," I decided my child’s mind. "Yeah, yeah, go on," I replied lightly, but… "No, really. I’m not lying. Go ahead and look!" said the curiously persistent Ai-chan. Because she was so persistent and also because she seemed unusually sincere, I took of my rancel and looked. When I did that, I was shocked. My mouth dropped open and I couldn’t move for a while. What in the world? There was a powerful graffitti drawn with a magic marker left there. It was huge and right in the center. "What’s this, Ai-chan?" "I dunno. See, I wasn’t lying." "No, no. I don’t care about that. Just tell me, who was it? Tell me." My rancel… I was dumbstruck. ………………. Continue reading

Hayashi Rice

I joined the "Harmony Circle", which is a choral group in college. This is a group of people who enjoy singing even if they are not good at it. We gather together as a family and sing. The other day, our college had a festival and allowed us a vending space to sell our product. Guess what kind of vender we have? We have "Hayashi Rice" which is unique. It is a challenge to put together something very unusual. Yes, it is true, but the real reason is that he is here,,,,, a man who is into "Hayashi Rice" who dedicated his life to making his most tastiest one!  Am I exaggerating? No. A man whose nickname is  " Arisan".

He is very particuler in what he uses and that’s why he is great. He does research before he purchases his ingredients and he experimented 5 times before coming up with the most tastiest "Hayashi Rice". We have tasted this rice many times before the festival. we were happy to taste the rice because it was very good. Continue reading
