HoneyMoon in Hawaii

Aloha,

Spencer and I are in Hawaii.  Can you believe, I am writing this blog at NACOS.  Michiko, has been a gracious hostess and encouraged us to write about our honeymoon.

It has been a beautiful week.  We wish we could stay forever.  This is Spencerś first time in Hawaii and he is enjoying seeing all the new sights.  Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, Punchbowl, to name a few.  We did not make it to the Arizona Memorial yet.

Being here brings back so many fond memories.  I remember how much I loved it here.  If we had half a chance we would move here again.

We will soon be adding more pictures.  Thank you for reading my blog!

getting married Saturday and lots of snow!

Good Morning from Washington State.  We were blasted with a snow storm this week.  At our house we have 2 feet of snow.  Now in our area it usually rains and rains.  But we were without power for over 24 hours and very thankful for our wood stove and fireplace to keep us warm and cook the coffee!

This weekend is my wedding.  I am looking forward to getting all the planning over and get to the Hawaiian Honeymoon!
After all this snow, the sun will be most welcome.
I hope to call Michiko and would love to see my old friends.
Aloha and Happy Holidays!

Will post pic of snow later,

Announcement

Hello from Washington,
I just wanted to tell everyone that I am getting married soon.  The best news is that my fiance has surprised me with a trip to Honolulu, Hawaii for our honeymoon!!  We will be there a week early in December.  Please ensure we will have beautiful weather!!
One of our special treats is that we will get to rent motorcycles and tour the island!

I wish I knew how to contact some of my old friends from Hawaii.  Anyone know Craig and Cecily Lam?  There are others I would love to talk to, I just need to find my old address book.

Talk to you soon!!

News From Washington State

Hello,
I have not written for a while and Michiko keeps reminding me to post a message.  I have had a busy summer.  First my partner hit a dog on the 4th of July with his motorcycle and wrecked it badly.  So we didn’t take any motorcycle trips.  Then a few weeks later he totaled his brand new Mustang GT.  We have not had good luck this summer.
My daughter got married in August.  Then we bought a new business.  We are now the proud owners of  Fast Stop Fitness.  It is a fitness club for men only.  Just like Curves only we have made it better.  I still work my regular job, but Spencer now only works at Fast Stop.  Owning our own business for the first time is pretty scary, but we are having fun planning our Grand Opening. Great pictures!

Thanks to Michiko for adding my pictures!  The pictures are of Stevens Pass in Washington State.  Although it was hot this day there was still snow on the mountain and skiiers out.  Maybe someday you can come visit!

A New Motorcycle Trip

The weekend before Memorial Day my friends and I took a long motorcycle trip to Eastern Washington.  We stayed at a campground in Leavenworth, a Bavarian themed town, visited the sights there and then rode on farther east the next day.  One way the trip was a little over 300 miles.  Our destination was Electric City, which is very near the Grand Coulee Dam.  We participate in a big Blues Festival there twice a year.  We saw some amazing Blues artists.  My all-time favorite band is called Junkyard Jane.  They are special friends of ours.  They have a website www.junkyardjane.com.  Another favorite for me this year was John Nemeth.

My Motorcycle

That was a very fun trip we took.  The mountain is Mt Hood in Oregon, the area is called Timberline.  There is a beautiful Hotel there.  People were still skiing and snowboarding the day we took this picture and it was July!  The Hotel has been featured in movies, such as the Shining, a horror movie starring Jack Nicholson (sp?)

I started riding a motorcycle about two years ago.  My boyfriend got me started.  I love it!  This bike is a 2005 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic.  So far we have ridden to Oregon twice and Eastern Washington once for a total of over 5000 miles.  Spencer, my boyfriend/fiance/significant other rides a 2003 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic Electra Glide.  His bike has all the comforts such as a CD player, and cruise control.  I get to sing to myself when I ride my bike.

Happy Easter!

It has been a nice day here in Washington.  I had the day off from my job at Safeway.  I got up pretty early and baked a Lemon Meringue pie and a pumpkin pie.  Then as I was getting ready to start mixing up Craig Lam’s Ceasar Salad recipe (that I recieved 10 years ago) I saw I had forgotten the parmesan cheese…. so I just had to take advantage of the  dry sky and ride my 2005 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic to town and pick up some cheese and a few other things.  It was a beautiful morning for a ride.  The temperature is still a little cold and the snow level has dropped again but I think Spring might be trying to peek around the corner. We had a nice dinner with too much food and did an egg hunt for the kids.  It was a pretty good day.  Laura D Continue reading

Tried to submit a picture

I was visiting here last night and tried to load a picture of me.  But my computer skills lack in the resizing department.  I found a picture but it was too big.  I will ask for help from my family to get this done.
We had snow last night, well, just a tiny, tiny bit. It has been a cold month.  I wish I was in Hawaii!  Continue reading
