「再会」
ナコスでスカーイとキモに一年ぶりに会いました。 スカーは少しおねえちゃんになっていました。 キモはちょっと背がのびていました。 すぐスカーイにちょっかいを出して怒らせるところは前と変わらなかったです。
 
 
「誕生日会」
ナコスを出てジュリーさんの家に着くとシャワーをあびました。 それからクリフのお母さんの誕生日会へ行きました。 料理が出るまでクリフ、スカーイ、キモとおにごっこをしました。

My family went on a trip with my dad’s friend’s family to Kyoto. The first day, we ate a traditional Japanese meal overlooking the Kamo River. The second day, we rode the rapids down the Hozu River in a small boat. It was hot that day so it felt really good. I love summer in Kyoto. When we start out on a trip, my spirits soar. When we get home, I feel like it was over in a flash.
 
 
家族旅行

　うちの家族とお父さんの友達の家族と一緒に、京都へ旅行に行きました。　最初の日は、鴨川の川床料理で懐石料理を食べました。　２日目は、保津川下りをしました。　その日は暑かったので気持ちがよかったです。　私は夏の京都が好きです。　旅行に出ると気分がよくなります。　家に帰るとあっという間に終わったと思います。 Continue reading →

 
I am an avid reader. If I have free time, I am reading. I particularly love detective stories. I even read in the middle of class. The teacher gets mad at me. I start reading as soon as I get home from school. When I want to continue reading, I eat my food in a hurry. I am also reading before I go to sleep on my futon. My mother gets mad at me. However, that’s how much I love books.

My father likes cars. Ever since I was little, I’ve had a camper at my house. However, it was infested with ants and we sold it. Some years after that, we bought another camper and, we have started to go camping in the last few years.

Getting ready to go camping is an enormous task. We barbeque our food or cook nabemono (clay hot pot dishes) over charcoal. I don’t help my mother out at home, but when we go camping I cut vegetables and things like that. Food tastes good when we are camping. At night, we sleep in the camper.

At the campgrounds, people come together from all over. They do things like showing each other the insides of their campers. There are even people who do things just as if they were at home. This year we went to Fukui prefecture. I made friends with the kid in the camper next to us and we played together a lot. Continue reading →

 
I have reached my goal of swimming the 200 meter medley (breast stroke, back stroke, butterfly, and crawl) in under four minutes. And so, the next new thing I decided to challenge myself with was funk dance. I have always wanted to try it if it fit into my schedule. I have gone to observe it and try it for myself and thought it was cool. Funk dance is a pretty vigorous dance. After my lessons I am always hungry. I am always dancing wherever I go, even when I go shopping. This is embarrassing so I don’t like to talk about it, but… I have set my sights on becoming a back dancer for an idol singer.
 
 
ファンクダンス
 
　２００メートルのメドレー （平泳ぎ、背泳ぎ、バラフライ、クロール） を４分台で泳ぎ切るという目標を達成しました。 それで、次の新しいことにチャレンジしようと思ってファンクダンスを始めました。 前から日程があえばいつかやりたいと思っていました。 見学して、体験して、かっこいいと思いました。 ファンクダンスは結構激しい踊りです。 レッスンのあと、お腹がすきます。 今ではどこへ行っても、買い物に行っても、どこでも踊っています。 これは恥ずかしいので言いたくないのですが。。。　将来は、アイドル歌手のバックダンサーをめざしています。 Continue reading →

 
　５月１１日に、いとこのりさちゃんが産まれました。 産まれた時は見れなかったけど、りさちゃんがおばあちゃんの家に来た時、とってもかわいいと思いました。 わたしのいとこは、３人になりました。 いとこは多いほうが楽しいので、いっぱい産まれてきてほしいです。

みんなで車に乗って出かけた時、車の中でスカーイとキモが兄弟喧嘩をした。 それでお父さんが車を止めてふたりを外に出した。 はるかも車から出ようとしたら、ジュリーが 「はるか、ノー」 と言った。 車の外でスカーイとキモがお父さんに怒られていた。その時はちょっとドキドキした。
 
言っていることがわからない時は、「What?」 とジェスチャーで答えた。
 
となりの男の子もいっしょに、みんなで夏祭りへ行った。サイダーを飲んで、おかしやドーナツを食べた。家に帰って折り紙をした。１０時頃スカーイと一緒の部屋で寝た。 Continue reading →

 
Every morning, I wake up at about 7:30. School starts at 8:30. It about a five-minute walk to school. In order to keep the bond between the neighbors strong, there are about 10 of us that all go together. At lunchtime, we all eat school lunch together in the classroom. It is very good. The thing I like the best is agepan (a type of bun that is filled with a filling such as curry, coated with bread crumbs, and lightly deep fried). We have rice twice a week. Sometimes, we also have ice cream for desert.

School gets out around 3:00. Then, once a month, we have Homemaking Club activities. We make things like crepes and parfait.

When I get home from school, I go to piano lessons or go swimming. I have been learning the piano since I was four years old. At this year’s recital, I played the piano wearing a pretty dress with yellow-green lace. I was a little nervous. I go swimming once a week. I can swim all the strokes: the butterfly, the crawl, and the breast stroke. I swim about 400 yards every time I go. My time doesn’t improve, but I enjoy swimming. Continue reading →

 
When I was young, I was never scolded by my mother, and I was a bright child with a good understanding of things. Even when my younger brother was born, I looked after him well, so I was a big help to my mom.
 
Now, I am working hard at swimming. I have become able to swim the crawl in a minute and 12 seconds. I have been learning English conversation since I was three years old. However, I haven’t had much success. I love the Harry Potter books, and I can’t wait until the fourth book comes out.
