I’ve recently started a new job at Romano’s Macaroni bar and grill. Romano’s is a new restaurant to Hawaii and is only three months old at this time.It is located on the fourth floor of Ala Moana Mall. It’s a family restaurant with tasty Italian food and a great ambiance. So far I really enjoy working there, but it was a little bit tough to learn all the new information that comes with a new job. Especially since it was in the middle of mid-term testing for me. However, I am really happy to have this new job and look forward to the extra income and new experiences that it will provide. I wanted to go surfing the other day, but ran out of time. I hope to go surfing this weekend. Time seems to go so fast as I get older.

時間

先日、サーフィンに行きたかったのですが、時間がなくなってしまいました。今週の週末には行きたいと思います。年をとると時間がとても早く流れるように思います。

せんじつ、サーフィンに　いきたかったのですが、じかんが　なくなってしまいました。こんしゅうの　しゅうまつには　いきたいと　おもいます。としを　とると　じかんが　とても　はやく　ながれるように　おもいます。

Today the weather is good in Hawaii. I want to go surfing, but I have class. Maybe tomorrow I will go surfing in Waikiki.

Now I’m looking for new work. I’ve interviewed with several companies. I’m interested in restaurant positions such as manager or waiter, but overall it’s not satisfying in the area i’m at in my restaurant.

The reason why is the salary is not enough where i work and i’ve studied Japanese yet, there is not very much opportunity for me to use it. After I graduated highschool I began to work then started attending college, while still working full-time. My parents don’t support me financially and I don’t expect them too. My family is very indepentant of each other. This sort of thing isn’t so usually in America, it’s actually normal in a lot of cases. It might be safe to say that making it on your own is part of American culture. However in Japan’s case it doesn’t seem to be like this. This is a big difference between the two cultures i think. サーフィン、セーリング、スキューバーダイビングなどを楽しみます。
また、ハイキングや自転車に乗ることも好きです。
時々、自転車で学校に行ったり、仕事に行ったりします。
大変いい運動になります。それにガソリン代やバス代の節約にもなります。
