両親は全部結婚式の費用を支払いましたので、ささやかな結婚式をしました。いいですね。お母さんは花に沢山お金を使いたくなかったので、花束を作りました。お母さんの花屋の友人は結婚式に来たら、花束がおそろしいと思いましたので、彼は花束を直しました。やさしいですね！：D

My parents had a very frugal wedding, because they wanted to pay for everything themselves, which I think is very admirable.  My mom didn’t want to spend very much money on flowers, so she made her own bouquet.  When one of her friends arrived at her wedding, he was horrified at her bouquet (he was a florist), and insisted on redoing it himself!  How sweet!  :D</ Continue reading →

ついに、「Firefly」テレビ番組の「Serenity」と言う映画を見ました。ほとんど好きでした。。。しかし、終わりが嫌いでした。どうしてFireflyのようないいショーの映画は一つだけしかなくて、Underworldのようなひどい映画は二つありますか。

I finally watched Serenity, which is the movie they made from Firefly.  I liked it all except at the end.  Boo at the end!  Why do good shows like Firefly only get one movie, and terrible shows like Underworld get two?

今日は。。。ゴシップ！先週、UHとUCLAのバレーボールの試合を見に行きました。強い競争意識があると思います。ふつう、試合の前、両方のコーチはコートのまん中に歩いて、握手します。しかし、Al Scatesはコートの中に歩きにこばみました！座り続けましたので、私達のコーチは全部のきょりを歩いて、握手しました。

I’m in gossip mode today!  Last week, I went to our men’s volleyball game against UCLA, with whom we have a pretty strong rivalry.  You know how, before the match starts, both coaches walk towards each other and shake hands in the middle near the net?  AL SCATES REFUSED TO GET UP TO SHAKE OUR COACH’S HAND.  He stayed in his seat by his players, so our coach walked allll the way over to shake Scates’s hand.  Booooo!!!

多分彼は夏に働かなければならないかもしれませんので、今年京都へ行くかわかりません。でももう一つ行きたい所をわかりました！そこがどういう所か、わかりません。。。でも多分、ビデオゲームか何かのとってもきれいな博物館みたいです。

I don’t know if I’ll get to go to Japan this year, because my boyfriend might have to work.  I found a place I want to go to, though!  I’m not sure what it is… it looks like a really pretty museum that has something to do with video games.  Ooh!

水曜日の夜、カリフォニアから帰りました。先の高校のスピーチコーチの学生達はカリフォニアの高校のトーナメントを出席しましたので、サンフランシスコに私は運転するのを手伝いました。貴重なものを乗せて運転するのはストレスです！トーナメントの後、Yosemite National Parkに運転しました。かたみちは四時間かかりました。長時間車に乗っていると、眠くなりますので、おき続けるために、二つカフェインピルを飲みました。一つめのピルと二つめのピルの効果はかさなりましたので、少しカフェインの飲みすぎでした。しんぞうは急いで、手はしびれました！

I just got back from California — I went to help my former speech coach drive his students around San Francisco, because they attended a tournament at a high school up there.  It’s stressful driving around such precious cargo!  After the tournament, we drove to to Yosemite National Park, and it took about four hours each way.  I get really sleepy when I’m in the car a long time, so I took a caffeine pill in each direction to make sure I’d stay awake.  The second pill overlapped with the first, so I had a little overdose of caffeine for a little while — my heart was racing and my hands went a little numb!

新しいプロジェクトがありました！今から、大学の友人の友人のウエブサイトをいじしています。友人の友人に「Stella」をなずけります。Stellaの従兄弟は始めにウエブサイトを作りました。従兄弟のり理由は思い遣りと家族の気持ちと思いました。しかし後、お祖母さんは従兄弟にウエブサイトを作ったから一千ドルを支払いましたのを習いました！それに、各改訂後、百ドルを支払いました。その内、お祖母さんはStellaに高すぎますので、沢山改訂を頼むのをやめなさいと言いました。従兄弟は残念ですね！とにかく、楽しいそうから、無料にウエブサイトをいじしています。
 
I have a new project!  I’m taking over my college friend’s friend’s dog training business’s website.  I’ll call my friend’s friend Stella.  :]  Stella’s cousin had originally made the website, and Stella thought that her cousin was doing it just because he was nice and they’re family.  Later on, though, Stella found out that her grandmother had paid her cousin $1000 dollars to create the website, and was also paying him $100 for each update!  She found out because her grandmother eventually told her to stop making so many updates, because it was getting too expensive.  Can you believe it?  What a nasty cousin!  Anyway, I’m going to take care of the website for free, because it’s fun.

クリスマスに、友人にFireflyと言うテレビ番組のDVDsをもらいました。この番組はすばらしい！スペース西部です。あいにく、テレビの番組制作担当者が途中で番組を打ち切りました。残念です！もったいない！

My friend gave me the complete season of Firefly on DVD for Christmas, and it’s great!  It’s a space Western.  Unfortunately, the TV network people cancelled the show too early.  What a waste! Continue reading →
