昨日、レストランで食べて、ウェイトレスに使用された箸（使用ずみ）をもらいました！その使い捨ての箸はかみのスリーブ（はしぶくろ）の中にありました。多分、他のお客さんはスリーブの中に使用した箸を入れて、ウェイトレスはまだ使用されてないと思いまして、箸を新しい箸のところに戻しました！

私も使用した箸を箸ぶくろに戻します。それで、ウェイターはよごれた箸をさわらなくてもいいです。それに、長くてきれいな端がスリーブの外にでていますので、箸が使用されたとわかることができます。とにかく、ウェターはふつう全部を捨てますね？たとえば、もし私の紙ナプキンはきれいのように見えても、それでも捨てるでしょう？

ラジオのアナウンサーによれば、Smashing Pumpkinsというバンドが再び一緒になります！高校の頃、それは私の一番好きなバンドでした。

昨日、お店で店員さんがかおなじみだと思いましたが、理由をわかりませんでした。それに、彼女は「Lab Schoolに通いましたね？」と言いました。しかし、どんなクラスと名前を忘れましたので、かんたんな質問を尋ねらなければなりません。たとえば、「大学が終わりましたか。」と「まだ同級生に会いますか。」です。ぎこちない！

I went to a store yesterday, and the clerk looked a little familiar, but I didn’t know why until she said, "You went to Lab School, right?"  I couldn’t remember what class she was in or what her name was, so I had to ask her really general questions, like, "So, are you done with school, now?" and "Do you still see a lot of your classmates?"  Awkward!

今、ファースト・フードの小話がいい？

高校の頃、Domino’sで働きました。そこで、従業員達は練り粉をピザの形に手で作らなければなりません。私は下手でしたが、同僚の男性は上手でした。一度、日本から上司は私達の店に訪ねるつもりでしたので、上司達は練り粉を手で作るコンテストをすることにしました。コンテストの日、彼は肩の上にアメリカの国旗を着て、ごうまんにふるまいました。ひどい！日系女性は当然れいぎ正しかったです。それに、彼女は勝った！もっと早くて、練り粉がもっときれいでした。　：＞

最近、「orlistat」と言う脂肪を妨げる薬はしょほうせんなしの薬としてみとめられました。この薬はちょっと悪い副作用がありますが、それは私の反対ではありません。。。反対は、slate.com によれば、薬のしょうぎょうの名前はAlliです！嫌！！！

I just read that a fat-blocking drug, orlistat, has been approved to be sold over the counter as a pill.  The drug has pretty gross side effects, but that’s not my problem with it… my problem is that, according to slate.com, the pill is going to be marketed under the name Alli!  Noooooooo!!!

ついにレベル四十たっせいしましたので、じょうばの為の猫を買う事が出来ます。。。しかし充分お金がありません。　：（　とにかく、もし猫があっても、彼も乗馬の馬がありませんので、猫に乗る事が出来ません。　：P

I finally hit level 40, which means I can buy a mount… except I can’t afford it.  Wah!  I wouldn’t be able to use it until my boyfriend got his mount, anyway, since I’d still have to wait for him to slowpoke around.  😛

もうすぐ、彼の仕事のバレーボールのリーグが始まります。私は彼のチームのシャツのしゃれが好きです。彼等はげんしりょくのエンジニアのぶしょのじゅうぎょういんです。潜水艦のエンジンを維持します。去年のロゴは「We’re RAD!」でした。バレーボールでは、ボールにきゅうこうかして反応するか、両足をしっかり地面につけてすくわなければならないので、今年のロゴは「React… Or Plant」です。多分、来年は「I need a sub!」です。：＞

しゃれは英語だけのしゃれですので、私の翻訳はとても変だと思います。。。

My boyfriend’s work volleyball league starts up soon, and I like the punny things he comes up with for his team’s shirts.  He and his teammates are from the nuclear engineering division, and they help maintain the engines for the submarines.  Last year their logo said, "We’re RAD!"  This year their shirts say, "React… Or Plant," because in volleyball, you have to either react to the ball (dive for it), or plant yourself to dig.  I think next year their logo is going to be, "I need a sub!"  Heh.

大学の友人達は私に誕生日のために、電話をかけてくれました。やさしいと思いました。しかし私は電話の会話にちょっと下手ですから、メールを好みます。変でしょうか。

Two of my friends called me on my birthday, which I thought was very sweet.  I’m pretty awkward on the phone, though, so I like it fine when they email me.  Is that weird?

金曜日,お父さんの誕生日のパーテイのために、バレーボール試合を見に行きました。二ばんめいのゲーム後の十五分のきゅうけいで、ファンは色々なゲームを遊びます。お母さんはえらばれました！頭の上にランプシェードをのせて、バレーボールをキャッチしました。面白いですね！

On Friday, we went to a volleyball game as part of my dad’s birthday party.  During the fifteen minute break after the second game, they usually have fans play a game for entertainment and prizes.  My mom got picked to play!  She had to catch volleyballs in a lampshade strapped to her head.  She was a great sport about it.  🙂
