47 Ronin

This Christmas, Rika and I decided to watch a movie at the theaters. Well, actually 2. One of those movies was 47 Ronin, a fictional movie about an actual event that happened in Japan many moons ago. Before I continue, I’d like to mention, going to the movies on Christmas was a bad idea, unless loud and obnoxious crowds are your thing. Now, 47 Ronin wasn’t the best movie I’ve seen this year, but I was definitely entertained. It sort of reminded me of Robin Hood, a movie released in the 90s. Strange thing is though, the movie is loaded with Japanese actors from Japan, but never once is Japanese spoken in the movie. Usually in movies like this they do a combination of both languages with subtitles. I wonder if that was the director’s or actors’ idea? Suppose I could just google about it. Anyway, keeping this short, I would suggest waiting for this movie to come out at home.
