Clark’s Farm

There is a place near us where I take Aleria often. It’s a farm that has a petting zoo with chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits. They have larger animals too like a horse, miniature donkey, and a pony. The animal part of the farm isn’t too big, but Aleria likes it. She could pass the time feeding the goats all day if I let her. We usually walk around with the animals for a while then head to the other parts of the farm where they don’t have animals.

The non-animal part of the farm has slides, little houses in which kids play, and places for a picnic. The whole farm is themed around nursery tales so there are figures posted throughout the place that follow different nursery stories like Goldilocks and the Three Bears or Little Red Riding Hood.

We have been at the farm a few times and had rode the hay ride and done other things but had never gone through the maze. We tried it our last visit there. It’s a pretty big maze. I remember it felt nice to walk under the shade of the trees because it was very hot out that day. It’s a great place for little kids up to about six or seven years old. I think older kids wouldn’t enjoy it as much because as you get older you start loosing some of the imagination that makes the place a pleasure for the little ones.
