フリーウェイでの出来事です。今日、フリーウェイを走っている時、気づいたことがありました。左車線を走る車が、全て、ノロノロ運転をしていました。それは、一番前の車が、ノロノロ運転をしていたからでした。運転のガイドラインによれば、左車線は、速い車の為の車線だと書いてあります。ノロノロ運転は、法律違反ではありませんが、マナー違反です。ハワイの人は、法律を守らない人が多いと思います。マナー違反は尚更です。マナー違反に対して、他の州の人達は、我慢しません。しかし、ハワイの人達は、黙って我慢しています。私は、そんなハワイの人達が好きです。ところで、ハワイの人達の運転技術はあまり高くないです。私は、今日、このような光景を見て、「左車線に愚かな人のいる日」と名づけました。


Freeway’s event.
When I was driving today I noticed something. Everyone was driving slowly in the left lane. Because the 1st car was driving slowly. It is written in the drivers manual that the left lane is the fast (passing) lane. It isn’t against the law, but it is bad manner. I think many people in Hawaii don’t uphold this. Of course it’s bad manner. In other states people aren’t patient. But, in Hawaii people, are patiently silent. I like that about people in Hawaii However, people in Hawaii aren’t very skilled at driving. Today, I named this scene, “Idiots in the left lane day”.
