Life In Chicago: Kansas City

For this Christmas holiday, I decided to visit my cousin in Kansas City, Missouri. She is also from Hawaii but has been living in Kansas City for the past two years. I was excited for this trip, mainly because I haven’t seen my cousin in over three years but also because this was my first time in Kansas City. The first thing I noticed when I arrived was that it was freezing, just like Chicago. The temperature ranged from 15-30 degrees during my visit and there was snow/ice everywhere. The highlights of my trip were probably tasting authentic Kansas City barbeque and going to my first professional football game. We went to two different BBQ restaurants, Oklahoma Joe’s and Fiorella’s Jack Stack BBQ. Both were fantastic and I highly recommend both. The football game I went to had the Kansas City Chiefs battling the Indianapolis Colts. Although we were freezing our butts off during the game, the atmosphere and excitement made it all worth it. More to come…
