Andrew and I took the DC metro for the first time. It was pretty easy buying the tickets and getting through the gates, but I think I swiped my card twice because the machine charged me twice. We took the metro down to Washington D.C. We spent all day walking around the Natural History Museum. We looked at the dinosaur exhibit and saw a huge T-Rex. The dinosaurs were our favorite part of the museum. We also visited the exhibits for the ocean animals and gemstones. In the gemstone collection they had the Hope Diamond on display. It was really pretty. Our last stop was in the butterfly sanctuary. We saw all kinds of beautiful butterflies flying around and took pictures. After we finished with the butterflies we left the Natural History Museum and walked over to the American Indian Museum for lunch. On the way there we saw St. Patrick’s Day parade. People were wearing different costumes; most of them were wearing green in honor of St Patrick’s Day on March 17th but a few had other outfits on. At the American Indian Museum we ate a buffalo sandwich. I have never eaten buffalo before. It was tasty or maybe I was really really hungry. When we finished eating we hopped back on the metro and came home. Being pregnant, I don’t have the same energy as before. All the walking around made me tired. I came home and took a nap. It was an eventful day.
