For the past two and a half weeks, I’ve been showing my friend from the mainland around Hawaii. Although it was fun to play tourist, it was more tiring trying to play the tour guide. Everyday I had to think of something new that we could do together. It was hard because I had work during the day and then after work, I hung out with my friend in the afternoon and night. And sometimes we had some pretty late nights. I never really had a break to just relax and felt like I was always doing something. Today was his last day and although I’m sad that he is leaving, I am relieved from not having to keep my mind preoccupied with activities to plan. All in all, I did have a great time with him here but I am definitely glad that this vacation has come to an end.
