This past weekend my (Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association) Royal Chapter group performed a Xmas skit for Saturday’s Building Fund Raiser Event. We will also be performing it again on the 15th for HBDA’s Xmas Social at the Ala Wai Golf Course Palladium(upstairs). We do this every year. There was 7 chapter performances. There were 2 chapters that did the Hawaiian 12 Days of Xmas skit, 2 did Line Dances to Xmas songs and there was a Santa Claus is coming to Town Skit, also an Elves helping Santa Routine, and we did a Hula with Santa in a canoe filled with presents while his elf gave out candies to the audience then we did an East Coast Dance routine.
The costumes were pretty and some were funny. Some children participated in the mini plays. Since it was a benefit of $5.00, we also got a snack of Tuna sandwich in Rolls, chips, carrots, celery, and grapes.
It’s nice to be a part of this festive activity every year. We learn so much from this, all the new dance steps as well as songs. Xmas is a great Celebration!
