Our family went to Maui for Thanksgiving. My mother, stepfather, daughter and her husband, and her two children, of 4 years and 2 years old. I went along to help take care of parents and grandchildren. We ate at Kimo’s and BJ Chicago Pizza in Lahaina. We stayed at Na Luna Condos which was recently remodeled by Outrigger. It was very beautiful inside with 3 Flat Screen TVs and a large livingroom kitchen combo. The kitchen side had black marble counters, micro wave over a flat surface stove with oven. It also had a dishwasher and a refrigerator. There were 2 bedrooms with 2 full baths and in one of them there was a stackable washer dryer.
We went to the top of Haleakala which had an elevation of 10,000 feet above sea level. At about 8,000 feet we were above the clouds. Some clouds passed us on the road and it was fun to put your hand out of the window to feel the wetness of them. It was very cold, about 52 degrees. I had a ski jacket, leather gloves and extra clothing on to keep warm.We enjoyed our vacation especially since we were able to visit my Grandfather and grandmother’s graves and put flowers. Already, I would love to go there again. There is too much to see and not enough time. We all want to go again!
