Working in Japan

Over the summer, I had the unique opportunity to intern at a Japanese company to gain some international work experience. The company that I worked at was called NEO Club KK. They provide many different services such as making customized t-shirts, planning weddings, and making travel arrangements. The part that I became most familiar with was the t-shirt customization aspect. This was a great business in Tokyo mainly because there are so many potential customers. There are many different markets that you can choose to target but my company basically focused on college students. They decided that they wanted to provide customized clothing for the thousands of college clubs in Tokyo. I thought it was a great idea because there is always going to be business year after year. It was really interesting learning about the differences and similarities in Japanese and American business practices.
