We are only related through my fathers remarriage.  But it’s a terrible tragedy the family must face together.  I feel for her family as they are the nicest people I know.  They were all there for my fathers birthday, all happy and celebrating.  Now this!  She was only 21 going to school in the big island, she got into a car accident that took her life.  Life is so precious and fragile at that age.  The family really wants me to travel to the big island for the funeral.  Right now though I am in financial purgatory.  I need the money and for my work I don’t get paid when I take leave.  I think the rest of my family is having trouble understanding that.  While I would love to go I am thinking it would be better to stay ahead with this hard economic times.  I’m still debating…
