Today I got to practice calligraphy. I felt my hands were a little unsteady resulting in some uneven width in some of the characters, but it was fun nonetheless. Calligraphy is a beautiful art with lots of depth behind it.  Here I thought I was simply drawing characters when in fact I was also partaking in a form of meditation. I’m going to send my New Year’s greeting card  to my Japanese friend in Japan so she can see how I am progressing and to wish her a good new year as well.
