Vacation

Well my husband and I recently returned from our vacation to the Hawaiian islands of Molokai and the Big Island (Hawai’i). We had a rather interesting experience. Our first stop was to Molokai. It was a small island. There are no traffic lights only stops signs. I think we could have done everything in two days and not needed the four days we actually spent there. My husband on the other hand didn’t enjoy Molokai as much in part because he got sick and remained sick throughout our entire time there. We spent much of are time inside the hotel room because he was to weak to do anything. It didn’t help that our hotel room lacked any type of entertainment like a television or Internet. Toward the end of our time in Molokai my husband did begin to feel a little better, and we went hiking to this amazing waterfalls and got to swim in the lake which formed at the bottom of the falls. The water was ice cold, and it didn’t help my husband get better any faster. That was probably a bad decision on my part. We didn’t find much else to do on Molokai except visit a small Cultural Center/Museum and eat fresh macadamia nuts from a macadamia farm, but I liked it nonetheless. From Molokai we went to the Big Island of Hawai’i. We got to visit a small religious site and the Volcano National Park. We really wanted to see lava coming down from the volcano that we so dominant on all the postcards in every gift shop, but all we got to see was a squirt here and there from a couple of miles away. Neither of us was very impressed though we did enjoy the National Park. Because we were there on Halloween we got to eat at this nice restaurant decorated for the festivities. Our waitress was even dressed up as a witch. A nice touch to our long vacation.
