Today was my first lesson at NACOS, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a difficult time with saying some of the words especially those that begin with the R sound, but I think overall it went well. The teacher seems very patient with me as I stumble over my mistakes and encourages me to go on. I will have to practice more in between lessons. One item I may have to work on, though I doubt it will improve any time soon, is the volume of my voice. Michiko keeps asking me to raise my voice as if to fill the entire room, but it seems to go no further than a whisper at times. I’m not accustom to raising my voice as high as she may want though I am sure I’ll get there eventually. Practice makes perfect, right?
