crockpot cooking, continued!

I finally found a crockpot recipe that had lots of flavor… it’s tasty because it’s just pork chops cooked in shoyu, sugar, chicken stock, garlic, and chili-garlic sauce (the one that seems like it’s related to sriracha sauce).  You can’t go wrong with anything that’s cooked in shoyu, sugar, and garlic.  😀

Hi Allison, I just recently bought a crock pot also. I would really like that recipe, it sounds great. I don’t know what shoyu is, but I love garlic and sugar.

    Hi Kevin!

Shoyu is soy sauce. 🙂 The chili-garlic sauce is usually next to the sriracha sauce in the grocery store. Here’s the recipe:

    3 cloves garlic, pressed
    1/2 c chicken broth
    1 T chili-garlic sauce
    1/2 c shoyu
    6 pork chops
Combine everything and cook on low 5 hours.

    ** My notes **
I quadrupled the sauce recipe (but not the chops) because I hate having leftover stock. Also, my crockpot didn’t have a low setting for 5 hours, so I cooked mine for 8 hours. The chops came out just a touch dry in some spots, but were mostly okay. :} I hope you like it!
