ある日、私は学校の休み時間に2階の廊下で、友達と鬼ごっこをして遊んでいました。鬼から逃げるためにみんな夢中になって走り回っていました。そんな時、私は何を思ったのか、閉まっているドアに突進してしまいました。思いっきりドアにぶつかったのは言うまでもありません。そして、痛さと同時に口の中に異物を感じました。手にとって見ると、それは白い小さな塊（かたまり）でした。「なんや、これ。」と思って、投げ捨てました。その後、痛さもあり、保健室に行きました。前歯が欠けていました。そして、保健の先生の勧めで、先生と一緒に現場に戻り、歯のかけらを探し始めることになりました。友達も探してくれました。２階も１階も、くまなく探しました。しか し、見つかりませんでした。結局、母と一緒に歯医者に行くはめになりました。治療中、痛さと不安で涙があふれてしまったことを思い出します。


“Memories of elementary school”

One day, I was playing tag with my friends in the second floor hallway during recess. We were all running around concentrating on trying to escape from the ogre. I don’t know what I was thinking at the time, but I ran full force into a closed door. Then, along with the pain, I felt something strange in my mouth. When I took it out, it was a small, white lump. I thought, “what’s this?” and threw it away. After that, I was in pain so I went to the school infirmary. I was missing my front tooth. So, at the nurse’s advice, we went back to the place where it all happened and started looking for the pieces of my tooth. My friends also helped me look. We looked all over the first and second floor. However, we couldn’t find it. Finally, I went to the dentist with my mother. I still remember crying during the treatment because I was scared and in pain.
