Korean Japanese

Last week I came across two different guests that were Korean. However, they didn’t really speak Korean, instead they spoke beautiful Japanese and lived in Japan. I wonder just how many Koreans I will come across that speak Japanese in Korea.

I’ve run across quite a few. It seems easier for Korean folks to learn Japanese since the languages are related. It’s like learning Spanish for us – it’s a little easier. Try going into Palama Market sometime by Nacos. It’s a Korean market but they have all sorts of Japanese products like Daikon, Shiso, Maki-zushi, etc. There’s a lot of exchange between the two cultures.
