Anne from Massachusetts

Picture(#1) is of my Mom, my oldest sister Pat, and her daughter Megan (aged 12) sitting by the pool in the backyard of the house I was renting. This gives you a little idea of my family.

Picture(#2) is from the trout fishery in Sandwich. Here they raise trout to feed the ponds and streams of the Cape for the fishermen. They have all different varieties – rainbow trout, tiger trout…. It was fun to feed them.

Picture(#3) is of the hydrangeas from the summer. The Cape is know for their hydrangeas. The color of the flower depends on the acidity of the soil, so some will be this brilliant blue, but others will be a purplish pink.

Picture(#4) was the house I was renting. It was wonderful! The gardens were gorgeous! I had 3 bedrooms and a loft with beds. So, it had plenty of room when family came to visit. My favorite room was the kitchen that connected to the family room. It was where we spent most of our time. It had a wonderful fireplace for cold winter days/nights.

Picture(#5) is a traditional fall Japanese Maple tree. The color is spectacular! Fall is my favorite time of year on Cape Cod. The colors of the leaves are amazing! It’s the time for apple cider, pumpkins, and amazing colors.
