When I first started driving, I didn’t know how to turn on the high beams, but it didn’t really matter since we hardly ever have to use them in Hawaii. :>

One night, I was driving behind another car, and it was only us on the two-lane road. I accidentally knocked into one of the bars by my steering wheel, and I saw a little blue light appear on the dashboard that I’d never seen before. I figured out how to get the little blue light to go away, but I didn’t know what it was for. I turned it on and off a couple more times, but still had no idea what the blue light meant. Then, for some reason, the car in front of me got over to the right lane, let me pass him, got back into the left lane, and then tailgated me.

I was totally confused about why the driver did that… until I realized a couple of minutes later that I had been flashing my high beams at him, and that made him grouchy because he probably thought I should have just passed him on the right if I really wanted to go faster. Oops! 😀
