If you want to beat crowds, it’s great to go grocery shopping on rainy days! There was a huge thunderstorm this weekend, and then when we went to Costco, it was a lot less busy than usual. They also had a power surge while we were there, so the lights in the warehouse were all off. (There was still power for the freezers and TVs, though.) Fortunately, plenty of light came in through the skylights even though it was still very overcast, so the atmosphere was kind of fun — like when all the lights go out in your house and it’s kind of an adventure to have candles everywhere. 🙂
