Jena from Kansas

My life is abnormally busy. We keep as busy as five people put together, I believe.

We had a reunion in Texas at the end of July, our anniversary the beginning of August which we did not get to celebreate because we had a church convention to attend. We took a two day vacationas well.

August was a bad month for sickness. Our daughter, Jennifer, and her family were coming to visit and our grandson , Austin, fell at a McDonalds and broke his arm. We drove 90 miles and spent the night in the hospital. My uncle had a heart attack from 100 percent blockage. Our sister-in-law had a serious problem with her colon and alomost died. She was in the hospital for two weeks. A man in church had a hernia surgery. On top of all that, I had to gert ready for teaching Leslie. I had a new curriculum to study and I switched rooms in the house to teach her in so we had to clean up.

In September. Steve went to South Dakota on a mission trip to help Indians. Both Jennifer and Leslie had birthdays in September. Jennifer is now a big 26 and Lwslie, 12. Most of the month was spent getting ready to go to Mexico. We did a fundraiser and had to collect donations, but rice, sort clothes, and much more. Oue church also does a ministry called Angel Food which takes 2 Saturday a month. We sing at Nursing Homes 3 times a month, and we started a Recovery class on Friday nights for people with addictions. In September I tried to tell you we are busy, busy.

Now it is October. The first week was our mission trip to Mexico where we took blankets to a homeless shelter, passed out bages of beans and rice to over 600 people. We took down clothes, sewing machines, and bycycles plus preached three nights. Last week we caught up on rest and errands, as well as go to Wichita, KS on Friday and Saturday for a State church convention. Steve was elected state prespyter, which means head pastor.

Love,
Jena, Steve, and Leslie Fellers
