My dad had his retirement party recently. It was at the Natsunoya Tea House, which had really yummy food, but was a little bit funny: they only host large parties, and they sort of encourage the people who have parties there to bring their own pupus and drinks.

I liked how lively the party was — my mom organized a bunch of games for us to play, and my parents’ friends put on a funny hula show that teased my dad. My parents are usually not very outgoing, so I think it’s nice that they found such boisterous friends.
