Samurai

This week in Asian History we learned about the samurai and how they represented the conservatives of Japan. They knew their glory as medieval time warriors, with traditions and a very unique lifestyle. Bushido means the way of the samurai(if i’m wrong please correct me), and bushido has a lot to do with honor and respect. One of the most interesting things was seppuku, or the act of suicide.
But at the 1800’s the samurais rein was coming to an end. Japan purchased guns from the west, and the way of the sword became obsolete. The samurai were not ready to compete with such a weapon. And now today, there are no moer samurai left.
