Summer isn’t just a vacation anymore, there is so much to do! I have summer school, baseball, football, and everything else you have to do during the summer. For summer school I’m taking Asian History, because I want to learn more about my Japanese and Chinese backround. We are learning about WW2and how China and Japan affect our lives today. We are learning about Pearl Harbor and how the war began. our books talk about how Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack, and that the Japanese troops very very courageous and not scared of war. It talked about how they fought against America in the Pacific, holding islands and protecting the Japanese mainland. We have yet to learn about the Nuclear bombs that hit hiroshima and Nagasaki, but I expect that to be a very sad story of the war. We learned that while Japan lost the war, they are still a very powerful country, and could affect how we live our lives.
