This memorial day weekend I took my boat along with my friends, who also have a boat, and did some aqua camping. We stayed at a place called “Blake Island” which is a state park. You can camp on the beach or anchor just off the beach and sleep in your boat. I was thrilled to sleep over night for the first time in my boat. We spent three days and nights and enjoyed this very interseting place. Seals swam around us and Bald Eagles flew over our heads and we relaxed and enjoyed the days off.

Boating is a great thing and I am learning alot about how to handle my boat in different situations. Puget sound is a large body of water. It is the ocean but protected due to the geography. This creates a very unique situation of weather and of water conditions. Some days it is like a calm lake and others it can be a wild windy torrent. We had beautiful water, as is more the norm, and enjoyed it thouroghly. One of the fun things is trying to walk on land after a few days of being on the boat. Some things move (When they are not really moving) and can be pretty funny to those around you.
