Japanese Food Experience

One of my favorite foods during my trip was the okonomiyaki restaurants. At the restaurant we went to, we had to cook our own food. We were given the raw ingredients for the okonomiyaki and monja, and so my girlfriend prepared the food at the table. That was the first time that I’ve eaten monja. Monja, was a combination of mochi, vegetables, and I believe fish eggs? I could be wrong (about the fisheggs) but nevertheless, it was delcious. For the monja, you eat it with a small frying utensil. When the monja is ready you basically scape the food off of the frying surface and it automatically sticks to your utensil probably because of the sticky mochi. From there you eat it. The texture is a little because of the fish eggs but it was indeed interesting.
