Since I will be making a trip to Japan at the end of the week, I have started working on my school assignments. Luckily for my classes I will only have papers to write for my final. Same thing for my job – but luckily the condo that I am staying at will have internet access so I will be able to send over my work thru email from Japan. But hopefully I will finish all my projects before I leave.

This past Saturday, I bought this cool device called the “slingbox”. The slingbox allows me to watch my cable tv via the internet. It acts like a long distance remote control (for your cable box) which also gives me the ability to watch cable tv(and/or your DVR) thru your computer – but that computer must have internet access. I remember the last time I was in Japan, there were no tv channels that caught any American sports, and I missed my college football bowl games! I was able to get sumo there however. I know I should be enjoying my experiences of Japan instead of watching tv, but since the NBA playoffs has already started I don’t want to miss the games – my favorite team, the Phoenix Suns are in the playoffs and will hopefully make it all the way to the Championship this year. Plus when everyone is sleeping in Japan, my games will probably be playing.
