One of the rituals that I have everyday is checking out the stock market. For a very brief time I was doing day trading. Hawaii time, the stock market opens at 4:30am. If my stocks do well I am usually excited, and I continue watching them in case I want to sell. But if not, I usually just go back to sleep. At first I thought I could make a living doing it because I was making some fast easy cash. but I found out later that it is not that easy. My arrogance, greed, and lack of discipline led me to lose a lot of money. To make money in this you really have to have a Warren Buffet approach – be patient, have a strong stomach, and invest in those boring blue chip stocks (hardly any movement, but expensive but at the same time pays good dividends).
