My parents did this, and it makes me sad.  We had the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice first (yay, Colin Firth!), and that should have been enough, but then my dad went and bought BRIDE and Prejudice, where it appears that Mr. Darcy heartily enjoys a good shower of confetti, and even laughs gaily at it.  Nooooooooo!!!
