誕生日のために、お母さんは妹に小さいハート形のアクアマリンを上げました。子供の頃に、妹と私は水晶やgeodeをあつめることが大好きでしたので、お母さんはそれを買いました。それに、センチメンタルな価値があるので、妹はとてもうれしかったです。アクアマリンのジュエリーを作るために、私達はジュエリーのお店に行きました。店員さんはアクアマリンにちょっとあざ笑ったようでありました！信じられませんでした！ぶれいだね！
 
My mom gave my sister a small heart-shaped aquamarine for her birthday.  My mom had bought the aquamarine when we were little, because we used to love collecting crystals and geodes and stuff.  My sister was really happy, because it was super sweet of our mom to save it for so long, so it had sentimental value.  We went to a jewelry store to get it set, and I couldn’t believe it — it seemed like the saleswoman was actually handling the aquamarine with a little sneer, as if she were thinking that it was a crappy little thing to be getting set!  How rude!
