A spark for the engine

Continue reading

My first trip to Chicago

This summer, I competed in Hawaii`s AAU summer baseball leauge. In the end, it was Punahou, Iolani, and Kamehameha schools, in the final tourney. Punahou won, making us the number one team. So we traveled to Chicago Illinois, where the AAU championships are held. It was my first time going there, and I didn`t know what to expect. It was the biggest city I had ever been to. We stayed in a beautiful Hilton Hotel, with 5 star rooms. We played every other day, and made it to the semi finals. We lost, but we were still thrid place out of every team in America, and I still think that`s pretty good. When we didn`t play, we went shopping and went to see baseball games. We got to see two of the oldest teams in baseball, the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox were the reigning champions, so it was a great experience watching them. Continue reading

Long Summer

Punahou summer goes from June 2 to August 24. This summer is the hottest one Ive ever been through, the weather is so hot and humid! On top of that, I have had baseball practice every single day, for both my Punahou and Aiea teams. Theres been football too. I have Aiea practice from 9-11, and then i eat lunch at 12. I get to relax a little, take a shower an a nap, but then its right back to baseball for my Punahou team. Practice is from 4-6, and then I come home and eat dinner at 7:30. Then I get to relax, play some video games and lift weights. Then I relax and watch TV with my family. My day finally ends, as I go to sleep at 11. What a summer! Continue reading

It’s almost the end of July, and the end of baseball too. We lost a few games, so we didn’t make the championships, but there’s always next year. Footballs coming out soon, so hopefully we can win the football championships!
