Ame Dame

Today the rain is pouring down on hawaii. It is causing flooding all across the state and yesterday there was a huge landslide on the Pali highway, which shut down the road. I hope that the rain will stop soon, but it doesn´t look like it will. Continue reading

Osaka people

Yesterday at the restaurant some people from Osaka came in to eat. It felt so nice to converse with them in Japanese and they felt happy because I was able to talk to them in their native tongue. It also brought back memories from my experiences in Osaka and how much I enjoyed living in Japan. I can wait to go back again someday! Continue reading

Breakfast Buffet

This past Sunday, Compadres held a breafst buffet for a Hawaiian immersion school. It was really interesting to know that these young kids learn and speak only in Hawaiian at school. The school wants to preserve the language and cultural aspects of their past through children. I can respect that. Continue reading
