Yesterday at the restaurant some people from Osaka came in to eat. It felt so nice to converse with them in Japanese and they felt happy because I was able to talk to them in their native tongue. It also brought back memories from my experiences in Osaka and how much I enjoyed living in Japan. I can wait to go back again someday! Continue reading →

This past Sunday, Compadres held a breafst buffet for a Hawaiian immersion school. It was really interesting to know that these young kids learn and speak only in Hawaiian at school. The school wants to preserve the language and cultural aspects of their past through children. I can respect that. Continue reading →
